Windows update error code: 0x8007F0DA

STEP 1:

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. From the list of available services, right-click Cryptographic Services, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type drop-down list, select the Automatic option, and then click Apply.

4.  Click Start.

5. Try to install again.

STEP 2:

1. Start Notepad. *Copy and then paste the following commands into Notepad*

regsvr32 /u softpub.dll /s
regsvr32 /u wintrust.dll /s
regsvr32 /u initpki.dll /s
regsvr32 /u dssenh.dll /s
regsvr32 /u rsaenh.dll /s
regsvr32 /u gpkcsp.dll /s
regsvr32 /u sccbase.dll
regsvr32 /u slbcsp.dll /s
regsvr32 /u mssip32.dll /s
regsvr32 /u cryptdlg.dll /s

2. Save as anything.bat, and then run it once you save it.

3. Try to install the updates again.

STEP 3:

1. Start notepad and copy and paste this into it.

net stop cryptsvc
cd %systemroot%\system32
ren catroot2 catroot2old
net start cryptsvc

2. Save the file as anything.bat and then run it.

3. Tryto install the updates again.
